How I Met Your Grandfather
Over 40 years ago, my best friend, Karen, wanted to go on a temple trip to Washington D.C. from New York. She was friends with Bill (grandpa) so she arranged for Bill to drive. It was on a Friday evening after work and I wasn't up to the 5 hour trip ahead and I told her that I didn't want to go. She wouldn't hear of it. She insisted that I had to go to sit up in the front seat with Bill so that she could sit in the back seat with Doug, a cadet from West Point Military Academy. So, being a good friend, I went.
Back in the day we didn't have Spotify or iTunes. Instead Bill had an 8-track player in his car. Eight-tracks were big, almost like a VHS (video tape) if you know what that is. Playing on the 8-track player were Beatles love songs. Do you know who the Beatles are? They were the most popular Rock N Roll band ever!
The whole 5 hours to Washington, D.C. Bill and I sang songs, laughed and talked. We had so much fun. That's pretty much it. We've been together ever since! Did I mention it was over 40 years ago.

This is a great story! Have you watched the documentary about the Beatles? I think you and Bill would like it!
